The buttoning is an art in it's own right. get it wrong and water will find it's way in. The sections need to overlap from the top to the bottom and I find that the inverted [point down] sections work better if they lap over the point up sections. Point down sections will also provide the doorways.
Lets assume you build a 24 section. Your basic building blocks will be 4 off 3 section panels[2 up 1 down] and 2 off 5 section panels[3 up 2 down]. You will need 2 single zelts for the ends of the upper section also.
Two 3 section panels will be buttoned to the two 5 section panels. 24 sectional poles [or broomhandles] will be needed for supporting the ground floor at 6 points. Eash corner and the two middle points. losely peg this out with some of the 20 odd pegs you need for the whole thing.
Assemble the top floor from the other two 3 panel sections and the 2 singles. prepare your 2 custom uber poles. Button one long end and the 2 ends. Get your poles up. You might need to trim or chock them for best fit. A 6 inch nail in the top end of each will help.
Lastly button the long side and chose your door. You need another 4 sectional poles a peg and a zeltline for door proping duty.
Adjust your pegging as needed, the centre loops help with keeping the sides tight.
Thats how I did mine and it worked until the wind really got up. The 2 doors I had to get punters in and out didn't help. You should only need one.
To extend it to a 32 section you need another 8 zelts, 2 more 4 section poles, another uber pole and 4 more pegs.
Good luck.

If your zelt is missing the cord loops get a length of sash window cord from B&Q or similar. Not perfect repro but does the job.

Heh, I made this discovery yesterday - I'm pissed this was common knowledge
(To others - they sell two types, don't get the white one - it's the brown jute one you want. Around £4.50 which gives enough for all the loops for a four-zelt tent and four guy ropes too...)

Very droll Dell, luckily the children are incapable of thinking - but they do laugh at me. I am ridiculed at home as well as on the forum, so there is no escape
